Meet Dr. Robert

Dr. Robert Shaffer is a practising Chiropractor in the North Dayton area.  He has 25 years of experience in the treatment of spine and neuromuscular disorders.  Dr. Shaffer is a certified physician with the Bureau of Workers Compensation and treats patients with on-the-job injuries.  Dr. Shaffer treats automobile accident injuries and he has served numerous times as an expert witness for depositions and trial-by-jury.  Dr. Shaffer has a good working relationship with many family doctors, orthopedic specialists and neurologists throughout the Miami Valley.

Dr. Shaffer graudated from Fort Sam Houston Medical Academy in San Antonio, TX and was the 5th member of his family to serve his country in the military.  He served many hours at field hospitals and in the emergency room at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs.  In 1953, while stationed at Wright Patterson AFB, Dr. Shaffer's father was killed during an experimental flight in a B29 airplane.

In 1977, Dr. Shaffer entered Northern Oklahoma College to begin his pre-chiropractic studies.  He then entered Life Chiropractic University in Atlanta, GA.  He was voted president of the Ohio Club and began giving weekly lectures to patients entering the public clinic at the university.  He received his "Doctor of Chiropractic" degree in 1985.  Dr. Shaffer comes from a family of 9 chiropractors.

Dr. Shaffer is a member of the Miami Valley Chiropractic Society and has served as secretary and on the board of directors.  He is a member of the Ohio State Chiropractic Association.  Dr. Shaffer has had numerous public speaking engagements covering chiropractic philosophy and current health topics.  He has written several magazine articles on health related issues and was invited to appear for a 2nd time on the Rob Dennis TV Show.
